I’m a mom just like you. The only difference is that I’m a few steps ahead when it comes to kids and career. I don’t have life all figured out, but I’ve walked the road you’re about to take, and I know how overwhelming it can feel.
When I had my kids, I thought I could balance it all; career, family, sanity. The reality was exhaustion, guilt, and a constant sense that I was failing at everything. Eventually I became a full-time stay-at-home mom, which was both a relief and a financial stretch.
Fast forward eight years and a second child, and it was time to go back to work. That’s when the panic hit: Who would hire me with this giant resume gap? Could I really leave my kids after being home so long? Was I ready to step back into a career?
The good news? I found a job within three months. But I won’t lie, the first few months back were messy. I cried myself to sleep, worried constantly about my kids, and second-guessed every decision. But over time I learned how to rebuild my confidence, trust myself again, and create a version of working motherhood that actually works.
Now I help other moms do the same.
I know the questions running through your mind, because I’ve asked them too:
What do I even put on my resume?
How will I balance my kids’ needs with work?
Am I ready for this change or am I about to ruin everything?
I want you to know that if you have these questions it means that you care deeply and that's exactly the kind of mom who can thrive at home and at work.
You don’t need to figure everything out today. Just know that you’re not alone in this, and there’s a way forward that doesn’t require sacrificing yourself.
